It's funny, I can only find comments in MSDN blogs about how that doesn't
work, I can't find anything official about that.

Are you talking about the 2008 Hyper-V SKU? Or the 2008 Standard running
Hyper-V as a role? IMHO, buying anything less than standard or ultimate SKU
is just asking for trouble with Windows products ...
