Interesting....I was looking at routers myself on the weekend.... One of the units I looked at was the EnGenius ESR750H ($78.24 on Amazon). It can have 4 SSIDs with separate security profiles. One downside is that it lacks IPv6 support.
Though wireless wasn't a factor in my search....since I have separate APs on my network...in fact, its a negative, because I discovered recently that somehow the wireless on my old router had gotten enabled and into its default open state. (normally, when I set up these routers, is to configure the wireless secured [with unique ssid and password from real wireless network] and then disable it....though apparently this router clears the wireless settings when you disable it, so if it re-enables it'll be default....) For me...I'm looking more at firewall and QoS features (lots of VoIP devices)....in the under $200 range.... ----- Original Message ----- > Hi, > A local coworking company that I work from needs to buy a new > wireless router.
