We also use BeyondTrust's product (PowerBroker Identity Services, formerly
known as Likewise).  The free version works very well; we recently
converted to the Enterprise version (which enables group policy, setting
custom uid/gid values, etc.) but I think most people would get along fine
with the free one.  Feel free to reach out if you need more information;
I've worked with it quite a bit.
