We use Okta (tied in to our AD and also using 2-factor), and although
my team isn't responsible for maintaining it, I believe we're pretty
happy with the results (as are our users). We sit it in front of the
obvious things like Outlook and SharePoint, but it also talks to our
VPN software as well as box.com (which is pretty slick). Have tied in
a few other internal, custom applications.
