I have *far* more confidence in the bridges and buildings than I do just about
any piece of software.

How many times has software crashed compared to bridges and buildings
collapsed? I'm quire sure the difference is many orders of magnitude.

Software is definitely much more art and less science compared to bridge
building.

I think the author is right but unfortunately tilting at windmills.

I've never heard of anyone being even slightly annoyed at people with Ph.D.s
and JDDs calling themselves doctor.
