Hi,

Iscsi over ethernet fabric. 4 switches connected via 40GB connections. I removed the switch and we diffed the configs on all the remaining switches to get them back into the previous (working) configuration.

cheers,

Do the problems go away if you remove the switch?

What kind of topology?

FCoE or iSCSI?

    Hi,

Last night at 4pm PST we attempted to add a second brocade 6740
fiber switch to our fabric. Well things went south and after 13
hours I am still here. VMware folks claim the servers are fine and
what they are seeing is iscsi session start, then drop; then start
again and drop; etc. Brocade folks found some minor packet drops <
1% and fixed that, but no help. I am still waiting to hear back
from the Fujitsu SAN folks. I am running vmware 6.0U2.

Any ideas on what I can do next? Some servers are up and running
slowly. Others will not come up. If I reboot an esxi server it
takes a long time to come up with all the iscsi errors.

Thanks in advance for your ideas.
