It's applied to your user account and has nothing to do with channels. It's
mostly a cosmetic thing to "hide" your IP and instead show that you are
part of a project.

I set the modes on #opendaylight-ovsdb so you should hopefully not get
spammed anymore, we can add it to netvirt if it becomes a problem.

Whether a channel get's spammed or not seems to be luck, I don't know where
the spammers are getting their channel lists from but it seems like they
are not spamming every channel.
