after a day working again with subversion (i had to actually alias svn to git) i was wondering if anybody would have some strong feeling against the move to git and github in particular.
since plone is moving its code to github might be a interesting choice for plumi to follow, but its ofcourse not obligatory. [16:23:29] <garbas> dimo: you ever discussed moving to git? [16:23:51] * garbas has time while wait for git-svn clone to finish :P [16:24:58] <dimo> we haven't discussed it, but I guess if that's where the Plone collective is heading, Plumi will eventually follow [16:25:46] <garbas> dimo: k … i'm just migrationg stuff for plone [16:25:52] <garbas> i might as well do it for plumi if you want [16:27:43] <garbas> dimo: at least i reserved plumi as a name of organization (https://github.com/organizations/plumi) [16:28:53] <dimo> cool. let me inform the other devs and I'll let you know if we're all ready to move to git [16:29:22] <garbas> great … i'll give it try to move to git [16:29:25] <garbas> github [16:30:17] <garbas> dimo: just tickets, milestones, tags could be also migrated … but not sure if i would have time to do it since i'm anyway doing migration of plone repositories to github this month i could migrate also plumi repositories to plumi organization (i already reserved a name). maybe an option would also be moving all the tickets and management to github/issues. but that would require a little bit more work. i hope i wont start a new which vcs to use war :) lp rok _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.plumi.org/listinfo/discuss
