Even in the full heat of summer, I found ice on the AC in the classroom. My
guess is that it was on for the entire month without anyone really looking at
it, so I’m just going to turn it on again and see if it ices up over the next
few days.
Either way, the server room isn’t all that hot and the temperatures are cool
enough that we should start venting the heat out of the room and into the rest
of the space.

Air conditioners and dehumidifiers don't work well in single-digit
temperatures. My dehumidifier used to ice up even in low double-digits unless I
put another fan in blowing over the coils.
Fan mode sounds like a good plan for now. It might even be a good time to
consider using that heat for the rest of the space.

The server room A/C had very significant ice build-up on it this morning.
Micheal and I decided to turn off, unplug, and let melt. Micheal put a towel
under it and I also unplugged the box fan and put the extension cord serving
them out of the way (off the floor in the vincinity of the units where the
water will end up...)
When it's done melting I wonder if we should just run it on high fan instead
of A/C .. is there some kind of thermodynamic incompatibility between having a
hot room, A/C, and it being pretty chilly outside?
