If we are doing patching, does that mean painting too? I have several cans of
paint in a variety of colours I can bring.

I am aiming at large scale clean up, storage rooms, moving benches to the rooms
the belong in etc. The goal is to set up enough room to do real renovation work
in.
Right now worst case is we leave in 6 months, we will be having our anniversary
party in this space. Might as well make it looks good for as little cost as we
can.
Finish some trim work and patch the walls with existing materials.
Also attendance is not mandatory.

Areas to organise and clean-up are daily tasks. It's a tidy-up, not a reno.
That kind of stuff occurs anyday - there's a task list on the fridge that
people have been signing off on.
Why would we patch walls when we don't even know that we're staying yet?
