Subject: Re: [SkullSpace-Discuss] Awesome Foundation

I have a question on the scope of projects that the review group is
looking for - if it is something that benefits Skullspace members
(present and future) more than Winnipeg citizens as a whole would that
be too narrow of an impact to be considered?

For example, I think a semi-autonomous robot "dog" for the space would
make a nice pet/mascot and framework for robotics skill development as
well as a potential attention-getter for things like ComicCon/JimCon
booths in the future. My thought of the last week or so was to just
fund it and work on it as I am able but additional funding can always be
useful.

For those curious or with suggestions on the implementation side, I'm
thinking tread-style motion for the ability to turn-in-place, Raspberry
Pi-based brain with wifi connection, "feeding"-center charging spot to
visit as needed, sensors tbd but object avoidance, mic, and speaker at
least.

But is is Awesome enough for application to the foundation?

The mailing list does exist, and I add peoiple to it at Awesome
Michael's request.

If you have a cool project you want to do and you want to *get* the
$1000 this month (or in the future), fill out the form at:
http://www.awesomefoundation.org/en/chapters/winnipeg

No strings attached!
