Great idea, he is still advocating for our organization to participate. The delay was as a result of the programmer's availability and expense approvals required to host a public event using government funds, it's called Non-Public Funds and there are rules and procedures around spending it on hospitality.
NPF rules are in place to prevent someone like, say a Mayor from using public money to host a bunch of folks at a restaurant that he has a financial interest in, just as an example.
