I have both Rogers and MTS. Using the same phone - Nokia, MTS data is much better. Rogers data seems sketchy on our commute to work outside Winnipeg. It is so slow that it is unusable. MTS data is more consistent except for the dead zone at Agassiz Forest area. So I am pretty happy with MTS. Although it's not a cheap plan but it's "unlimited". Speed is acceptable and I was able to run Netflix at home one time when the home internet was down.
Although for home internet, sounds like Shaw is a better deal. But, I digress. So I don't think it's the phone because I've tested both data plans on the same phone. Unless the quality of service happens to have changed after I've switched over to MTS data plan.
