So I remember from the meme cookbook (how's that coming, by the way!?) that you can't copyright the actual instructions on how to make a dish, but you copyright the layout, the exact wording, etc. of the book.
Does the same apply for knitting patterns? Let's say that I see a pattern online (instructions on how to make a pattern) and I want to post it to my own blog. Can I do that without getting in nasty legal trouble?
