I think in Canada you fine if you provide a citation; the worst that can happen 
is they will send you a letter asking you to remove the content. I’m not a 
lawyer, but if you’re not doing it for profit there is no way to claim damages, 
so it’s highly unlikely you would end up in any serious trouble.

 

I think the entire concept of PINTREST is built around copying shit you seen on 
the internet and pinning it onto your own space.

So I remember from the meme cookbook (how's that coming, by the way!?) that you 
can't copyright the actual instructions on how to make a dish, but you 
copyright the layout, the exact wording, etc. of the book.

 

Does the same apply for knitting patterns? Let's say that I see a pattern 
online (instructions on how to make a pattern) and I want to post it to my own 
blog. Can I do that without getting in nasty legal trouble?
