Well, it all depends on what you see the point of the Discuss list as being.
I see it as a tool to build a community, and as such, like to see it used, even for non-serious stuff. If people see it as some historical image is of what SkullSpace is and does, then I suppose you'd be against more "trivial" messages. Again, since there are two opposing viewpoints, why not have two lists, one for each purpose?
