The only problem I see with using a black background is that it (along with the skull itself) inspire thoughts of mischief, black hat hacking, and other negative connotations, which will potentially worsen our public image.
While this isn't relevant for artwork hung within the space itself... it is if we're going to hang it outside or use at events.
