As some of you know, a few of us have been working on getting one of the touch screen computers running to turn it into a SkullSpace kiosk. With the help of Mark, Colin, Thor, and Phoul (and no help but smartass remarks from Ian) we have gotten Debian running, pinpointed which device is the touch screen, and have the cursor moving side to side. That is as far as I can go on the operating side of things. If there is an expert in such matters who would be willing to bring it to a fully functional state, I can bring you up to speed. It would be very appreciated and critical in getting the kiosk operational.
On the software side of things, I have begun work on a WebKit based kiosk app. If any web developers/designers would like to help out and have good ideas to bring to the table let me know. What I have so far is somewhat boring yet functional. There are hardware limitations to work around but with optimization and proper design, this should not be a huge issue. Let me know if you would like to help out. I will be at the space on Friday to work on it.
