I can't make sense out of your statement, having implemented AD in large organizations that most definitely had multiple departments! If you're referring to the way NDS allows you to assign supervisory rights at arbitrary points in the hierarchy, AD provides that adequately with multiple domains in a forest. If you really, absolutely need to do things exactly the way NDS did them, then you need to upgrade to eDirectory - certainly no other product will function exactly the way NDS does/did. -Adam
