I don't think I could function with a laptop and no Internet connection. I spend wayyy too much time figuring stuff out by online examples. The few times I've tried to work 'offline', I haven't lasted more than a few minutes. :)
Personally, I'd prefer to go camp somewhere and leave the laptop at home.
