Hi folks.

Whilst I've been on leave, Triode has clearly been doing a cracking job of sorting out the current AlienBBC beta release. I should also thank Neil Slightholm for his UI patches, which are gratefully received ;)

As a result, we've got a new version of the beta released. It's available from the normal location ('http://www.mrtickle.org/alienbbc.html') - just click on the 'Beta Versions' link.

We're rushing this one out rather fast, as it's needed if you're working with modern slimserver v6 nightlies. There are still a few gremlins left in the works, but it's looking pretty good, so we're releasing it now, so that v6 people aren't left in the dark.

Now... it's fair to say that it's had less testing than normal, and I've been away, so the old parser bugs are still in there (sorry!). So... we've left v0.93 up there as well, just in case it explodes violently.

For the record... changes from v0.93 -> v0.94 are as follows:

- Update to support recent 6.0 builds. NB due to recent changes, older versions of 6.0 will not be supported, but this version is intended to support both 5.4.1 and 6.0.
(There is currently a problem which avoids the title being displayed correctly, but we think this is a server problem with 6.0 which can be fixed!)
- Updated socketwrapper for windows. This adds a debugging mode which can be enabled by changing the convert command in slimserver-convert.conf. Unless you are interested in more messages, you don't need to worry about this!
- Some internal checks to avoid crashing the server if empty menus are returned and then play or right arrow is pressed.
- Support of 6.0 new non blocking calls for reading urls. Hopefully this will mean that during the loading phase, current audio streams are not paused. [a good reason to move to 6.0!]
- Patches from Neil Sleightholm to improve the user interface

Known bugs which have yet to be resolved:
- Some menus do not work correctly - 5live and listen live.

Have fun folks!

Best Regards,
