While we're on the topic of enhancements, something that I haven't
seen on any player, and that I would find incredibly useful, is the
ability when in random play to easily "lock" playback to a specific
album or artist.

For example, you are listening to random playback via the usual means
(browsing, playlists, whatever). A song comes on that really catches
your mood. With a single button press you could then constrain the
subsequent tracks to be the remaining songs (in order) on the album
the track is from ("album lock"), or with a different button press you
could constrain subsequent tracks to those only by the same artist as
("artist lock"). These modes would be a toggle - when you are tired of
exploiting your transient whim, you could revert back to purely random
play with another button press.

Since it can be hard to know one's mood in advance, and more so, how
it responds to various music as it's randomly presented, the ability
to lock onto something good when it appears and prolong the experience
IMHO would be a truly valuable (and at the present time unique)
feature. When listening in random play mode I regularly wish I had
this feature!
