The web interface allows full browsing by artist, genre, album and by album artwork(and in the upcoming 6.0: new music, year). The default skin refreshes every 30 seconds, so unless you initiate control from the GUI (or any browser on any computer pointed to http://serverIP:9000/) then you would have to wait for that refresh in order to get an updated status on the player. The right side fo teh GUI is your current state, topped by a status pane, and the playlist below. On the left you should see a list of browse, search, settings, and help items to choose from.
