This shoudlnt' be happening. the 'still scanning' checks the import count and if there is any, then it should be reporting 'still scanning' can you supply some details on what importers you use (and this includes music folder). was your slimserversql.db file erase? on some systems, the db file location doestn't seem to be correlated to the install location, so there could be an influence there (love those linux variants :).
