I know this has been talked about before but I don't understand what I need to do to fix it. I am running the newest version of Slimserver (6.0b1 not nightly) on a Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition Dell PowerEdge 400SC (how's that for overkill?). I have 3 of the old SlimP3 boxes connected and running great. The only problem I'm having is:
When I use the RSS newsfeed screen saver, if I change the size of the text to the larger size, it works for a minute or two and then Slimserver crashes. If I bring it back up, again, it works for a few minutes and then crashes. If I keep the text at the small size, no problem. This was the same with previous versions of Slimserver that supported RSS. Here is the Event Viewer log: The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( Application ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: Perl interpreter failed. I'm a very basic user, no compiling or Pear playing, I just download the software and play my music. What do I need to do so that my aging eyes can see the newsfeed from across the room? _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
