For the record, Windows services can access shares just fine.  I do it all
the time.  You just need to set the user context of the service to one that
has permission to do so.  By default, services run under LOCAL SYSTEM which
is usually not granted permission to any network resources.  Of course,
every time I update SlimServer to the latest version, it resets to LOCAL
SYSTEM and I have to reset the LOG ON parameters to one that has permission
to access the music share.  That's kind of a bummer because half the time i
forget to reset it and I have to think why Slim.exe can't access the music.
 Doh!
