So has anyone got AlienBBC 0.94 working with Mac OS X?
As noted before, the menu comes up fine. When I choose a s program and click Play, the messages I get are "Connecting ...", "Connected to play", "Connecting...", and then without playing the stream is shown as Stopped.
Thanks to help here, I confirmed that mplayer is working ok.
The version I am using for Mac OS X is MPlayer dev-CVS-041116-19:27-3.3 (C) 2000-2004 MPlayer Team
I found one significant error in the AlienBBC package. The file RTSP.pm has the wrong line endings, they are Carriage Return and Line Feed, and should be Line Feed only. Easy enough to correct in a suitable text editor.
But making this change is still not enough to get anything playing.
