Interesting. I believe I've seen it mentioned here that some people are running the straight perl version on Windows by using a Windows install of perl. Is there any advantage to doing this - better performance, for instance? I've putzed around in perl a little and run ActiveState's ActivePerl 5.22 on a number of Windows servers. Is there a guide somewhere to running like this on Windows - for instance, which download to use and the minimum version of perl needed?

I've heard the same reports - though theoretically there shouldn't be any difference.

You can download the latest version of ActiveState perl from their website.
