Yes, I've seen the same problem, shuffling or unshuffling even moderately
sized playlists will cause the server to stop responding for 20-40 seconds
and in at least one case caused the server to completely die.  I have a very
robust server and only about 7,000 tracks so shouldn't be seeing this sort
of performance problem.  Something in the shuffle/unshuffle routine is
hosed.
