I actually HAVE a beta unit and it has been working very well, with an occasional issue that can be fixed with firmware. there was one issue with audio that has been resolved by the complete rework of the analogue audio stage, including a very nice Burr-Brown DAC. > (in the > > hardware, not the firmware) in future versions. It is not beta harware. That's what I have, and not what you will be getting. Server software is release software. It has bugs that have been found since release, and those are either fixed or targetted to be fixed (http://bugs.slimdevices.com) at the 6.0.1 or 6.1 level. > Should I cancel my SB2 order immediately and > > wait 6 months (or buy something else)? The server does need a bit of progress, but that comes daily. Slim Devices offers a 30-day no-questions return policy for direct orders, which their vendors may also replicate. You can decide for yourself. > > > > As an aside, does anyone know what the situation with buying an SB2 in > > the UK is? They seem to be in rather short supply! The supply is coming. Its only about 10 days since first shipment, and there is a fair backlog as Sean has pointed out. _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
