It's approaching EOL (sadly) but that means there are some excellent deals around. I've had one for over a year, but I'm thinking of picking up a second one as a spare. About the only things it's missing are a remote control and digital out.
I'd certainly second that. It does need a way to kill the power, however, for those times when you make a sudden movement and send the hard drive into lockup. So far, I can only hope it eventually gets unlocked, or wait for the battery to run down.
wow, I've never seen a lockup on my wife's mini-ipod or my iriver. We're not especially careful... in fact, hers is on pause and plugged in most of the time, rather than ever being properly shut down.
