In a sense, you're right, but that's mostly in regard to the mailing
list view.  The veterans may not subsubcribe to the beginner list, but
with a forum it's easy to visit any forum with just a mouse click. 
Also, you'd be surprised at how helpful and _willing_ to help beginners
can with each other.  It's really all about peer support - questions
here really shouldn't be seen as directed to Slim Devices support, and
right now only Slim Devices employees and a handful of other people
have any genuine in-depth knowledge of how the software or hardware
operate.
