God you lot are hard to please!! :)

@GregD
I would love to see more than 400Gb as well mate - dunno where I am
going to fit the drives though :) The box can take an external HDD on a
USB port on the back of the box but I don't think that would be any good
for you. Potentially if we could get the case re-engineered to take two
drives we could do what you want and it would give greater flexibility
- especially with Squeezebox 2 being so good at playing uncompressed
audio. Trust me though, the box is quiet - no fans what so ever and
very quiet drives.

@Maditude
You've got to remember that this isn't just an external HDD in a USB or
firewire case and it does cost extra for the hardware to make it work as
a NAS drive. To be honest you wouldn't get much software working on the
box because it uses a strange CPU variant (couldn't have made it harder
for us if we tried!) that only runs a very strange version of Linux.
Don't worry about updates, this is one product I am passionate about
and it is going to get updates every time Slimdevices release one.

@ModelCitizen
At the end of the day this product is going to be based on a standard
NAS product that is going to allow you to map it in as a network drive
on your XP PC or Mac - so no problems with backup. Projected price for
the 400Gb is going to be around 350 > 380 depending on the drive
price - remember our drives cost more because of the spec of the drive
(quieter, cooler and designed to be on 24x7). Don't worry about the
installation of the upgrade it is going to be as easy as copy the file
over to the box, telnet in to the box and type in one command to run
the installation file, really easy.

Any more for any more???? :)
