My Squeezebox2 does not play AAC-encoded music files that are stored on my harddisk (WinXP machine): I can select the songs, but when pressing the PLAY button, it just doesn't start playing (nor does it show an error message). Have installed the latest nightly release of slimserver 6.1 and followed the lame update procedure dewscribed on
-> http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.cgi?AAC ... but still it did not work out. I thought SB2 would play AAC files without any problems: -> http://www.slimdevices.com/pi_faq.html#formats-aac ... so I'm a little confused at this point. Could anyone give me a hint what I'm doing wrong? The AAC files (song.m4a) had been encoded on a macintosh computer -- maybe this could be a problem? But: They work all ok with WinAmp on the PC, so the files themselves seem to be ok. And it does not seem to be a network/bandwidth issue, as even Softsqueeze installed on the same machine (127.0.0.1) does not play these files. Any feedback appreciated.
