Another idea, depending upon the size of the configuration, you might be able to get one of those plastic electrical boxes. I'm thinking the one that fits 4 light switches or recepticles. They come in an extra deep size which might give you enough room and that would protect the electronics from dust etc that's inside the wall. The box would fasten to the drywall with it's mounting ears and the frame would bolt to the box.
