This is an interesting thread as I have been thinking along these lines. I spend a lot of time on planes and at airports. This means that I can use my laptop most of the time to generate music. BUt the sound quality from the soundcard is poor. I am considering a headphone amplifier (USB type) and using Softsqueeeze (with FLAC files). Does anyone have any experience of this and do you have a headphone amp to recomend?
