I just had an event myself where my squeeze devices seemed to cause ip
conflicts. Many of my devices have static ip addresses, but since my
router only allows 10 of those I use dynamic (a different range, of
course) for devices where it doesn't really matter. After recently
rebooting my router, one XP PC started complaining about
an IP address conflict. Checking the DHCP listing on my router (where
all the static and dynamically leased addresses are listed) I noticed
that both my controllers and one SB3 did not renew their lease but just
kept using the IP they had before. The XP box did renew its lease and
got the address of the SB3 -> conflict. I had to power cycle all the
squeze devices to get things running properly again.

It seems to me the controllers and sb's should request a new address
after losing connectivity to avoid this kind of thing.

Regards,
Peter
