I did not reconfigure my router, I just power cycled it. OTOH, it's 
quite possible that my router (a Draytek) is violating the rules by 
forgetting the IP addresses. It's a popular brand of router though, and 
this behavior will cause more problems. The other devices I have did 
seem to request a new lease.
