if 40kbps means the sampling rate is not 44.1kHz, then it is not outside SB1 spec, but it is outside SPDIF spec. If you use the digital out, and SB1 sends 22kHz sampled signals, then many digital recievers will not do anything with it. Some work, some dont. If you search the forum for Live365 or SPDIF, I'm sure you will find more discussion on this. One such discussion can be found here: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=9516&highlight=live365+SPDIF > > MP3's of lower bitrate are left as is, playing natively. This is useful if you are connecting your player to SlimServer across the Internet or are having intermittent problems using a wireless network. You can choose the maximum bitrate that SlimServer will stream to your player. MP3 songs encoded at a bitrate lower than below won't be converted. If you choose No Limit, SlimServer will stream your MP3 files without conversion and your other file types as uncompressed PCM audio." cheers, kdf _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
