You guys are good. It was a Kerbango. A guy who had worked on the Kerbango for 3Com showed up. I was behind one of the tables when he approached me and pulled it out of a bag. I didn't recognize it at first, but I had that "aha!" moment when he mentioned the name.
His point was that Slim Devices/Logitech was successful at making an Internet radio and Squeezeboxes were successors to it -- a "son of Kerbango". I don't believe he had a Squeezebox in it. Although I didn't ask, I think he was one of the original developers on it. Sean happened to be standing there and struck up a conversation with him too.
