(I have a modified Transporter (I removed the handles...) - totally bling-free!)
Lets assume that the selling price of the Transporter is 10x its sheer component cost. Thats not far from a reality I would guess. Then the two displays and the Transnav probably acounts for 75% of the total component cost. So - removing the Transnav (do anyone really use it? I dont) and the displays should make it possible to sell the Transporter for 500$, but thats not going to happen. That being said - the 2000$ Transporter is NOT expensive, not by any means.
