Maybe I just don't get it, or you are really trying to be hard headed or just keep the thread alive. I truly hope that you were not excepting a call from Logitech to see if it was OK to ask for your opinion and use your e-mail address to do the asking?! Facts: 1) You gave your e-mail address to Slim Devices. 2) Logitech bought Slim Devices 3) The banner at the top of this page says, "Slim Devices, A Logitech Company" 4) Logitech now owns Slim Devices, lock, stock and barrels that includes all info given to Slim Devices over the years to include your e-mail address. 5) Logitech, within limits, can use the info given to Slim Devices as it now sees fit as it is now the owner and caretaker of that information. 6) There was no choice. Choice is not part of this equation. Are you really that surprised that the new owner would like to get your opinion of how Slim Devices has performed for you? You should be pleased that the new bigger company cares enough to ask "you" for your opinion on something they really have no stock in because it was from the Slim Devices time line. To me it shows that they have stock and care about the original customer base that Slim Devices developed. Personally it seems to be a good fit. Two new products in under a year (granted the Duet was already being developed) and products being sold at Big Box Stores can only be seen as progress. Logitech left the same people in charge (why interfere with a good thing) and left the product line intact. I was worried that Logitech might do what other companies do after an acquisition, try to recover the investment immediately by downsizing product lines to the minimum most profitable IE say goodbye to the limited production Transporter. They have made acquisitons before and are smarter then that. They know they need to keep the flagship no holes barred ultimate Network Music Player in the product line. -- iPhone *iPhone* 'Last.FM' (http://www.last.fm/user/mephone) Media Room: Transporter, VTL TL-6.5 Signature Pre-Amp, Ayre MX-R Mono's, Vandersteen Quatro, VeraStarr 6.4SE 6-channel Amp, VCC-5 Reference Center, four VSM-1 Signatures, Runco RS 900 CineWide AutoScope 2.35:1 Living Room: Duet, ADCOM GTP-870HD, Cinepro 3K6SE III Gold, Vandersteen Model 3A Signature, Two 2Wq subs, VCC-2, Two VSM-1 Kitchen: Squeezebox BOOM Bedroom: SB3, GFR-700HD, Thiel 2.3, Second Boom Home Office: SB3, NAD C370, two VSM-1 Home Gym: SB3, Parasound Vamp v.3, Thiel PowerPoint 1.2 Mobile: SB3, Audioengine A5 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ iPhone's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13622 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51752 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
