I've had really good luck with CA E-Trust (I think they call it something else now, but it's the antivirus program from Computer Associates) CA's product has kept my PCs out of trouble and it has a rather "light" footprint, doesn't take much CPU power. I've recently tried OneCare and so far I rather like it.
