DbPowerAmp Music Converter (not the ripper) has a batch encode function that can convert a whole drive at once. AFAIK the free version is enough to convert WAV to FLAC format. It's quite fast since it uses both CPU's if you have a Core Duo processor. Don't mess around with drag and dropping.
