Not much to go on. Well, is the VFD still working? A VFD is similar to an old vacuum tube. There are wires that are slightly heated to give off electrons which hit the phosphorus coated cathodes. Yeah, more than you wanted to know... Any ways, take the SB3 into a dark room and power it up. You should be able to see a slight orange glow come off (probably) 2 wires strung inside the length of the tube. So, if the SPDIF output and the VFD are powered up... humm, but there is no display... Gee, I think all SB3s have a welcome display despite being connected to a network. At this point, I'd say your SB3 is not booting up. Check and make absolutely sure you have the correct power supply. Even if the voltage, polarity and plug are correct... an under powered supply (i.e. using a 500mA power supply where a 1000mA power supply is required) can cause a lot of grief. Anyone know what the power output capacity of an SB3 supply is? _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
