No, there isn't. The SD folks probably started SD to get rich and they succeeded. Their choice of the open source model was instrumental in this. In my case, I would like a popcorn-hour like device with a good DAC and squeezeslave or squeezeplay pre-installed. The popcorn NMT software is sub-licensed to other companies, so it would be relatively cheap and easy to manufacture the mythical Video Squeezebox.
