Of course, I agree with you

If I can get significant savings, I will have no problems going to a
web shop in Seattle or buying gear directly from av123 for instance,
and that I do.....

Buying US built gear is significantly cheaper from US factory direct
shops than buying here, so why should I throw these money to the local
retailes when I can have them myself instead...

But if difference is academic, then I buy locally, I don't throw money
out the window....
