I took your advice and opened up the Squeezebox. If your SB is acting dead go ahead and look. There are very few visible connections but I found two that where loose on my box. Heres what I looked at. 1.) I opened it up and there was a little foam sticky contact switch on the face of the network card that was obviously open. Stick it back together. I tried again to re-power. No logo screen, no function. 2.) Open up the unit again. The electronics from ROM module to the network card are stacked on top of each other. If you look in between there is a small white square connector. Mine was not disconnected, but had worked loose. I gently pushed it together slightly with a probe and tried to power up again.
All is good again. As soon as i put the power cable on, the logo screen came right up. Logged on my network as it should and now I'm back in a happy mood.! My remote is still not working right though, but I will try the alternates or just buy an new one on the site here. Thanks everybody. Go ahead and take a look at yours if you are having a similar problem.
