I have not seen this use described here. Using Alarms in the morning with playlists, we awake to a local non-challenging classical station, hit forward to listen to the BBC World Service 5 minute Bulletin, Nachrichten (news) from Deutsche Welle, the NPR Bulletin, then more 'challenging' classical (i.e. occasional avant garde) from WNYC2. The details are not important, but the concept of a playlist which calls a number of streaming sources for waking up is actually a pleasant way to start a morning. Here is my morning.m3u, let me know if anyone has questions... #EXTM3 #EXTINF:-1,WMHT http://live.str3am.com:2070/ #EXTINF:-1,World News Summary http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/meta/tx/nb/summary5min_au_nb.asx #EXTINF:-1,Nachrichten http://c13010-o.i.core.cdn.streamfarm.net/dwworldondemand1/encoder/audio/mitschnitt/Pink-nr.mp3 #EXTINF:-1,NPR News http://thin.npr.org/dmg.wax?getNewsCast=true&NPRMediaPref=WM #EXTINF:-1,WNYC 2 http://wnyc2.streamguys.com/wnyc2
