Steve, You are close, but the two ways to use your Sweezebox are: 1. through SqueezeCenter (playing your computer-stored audio files, mp3s, etc...with your computer on and SqueezeCenter running) and 2. through SqueezeNetwork (playing internet radio and rhapsody, etc.) - the computer does not need to be turned on.
